Privacy Policy of Keyolhu Portal Application

Ministry of Fisheries, and Ocean Resources (we) are the government regulatory body responsible for administration fisheries related services. This Privacy Policy is for the digital application used to administer this service, under the name of Keyolhu application and outlines our policies and procedures on the collection, use, safeguarding and disclosure of information on the app and android store (Services). This policy is applicable to all users of the Service.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. The policy describes the types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you install, access or use the service. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience when using our service, we may require you provide us with certain personally identifying information, including the contact number, IP address, device information, and location.

Personal information may also be collected from third parties such as other government authorities or service providers in order to verify and validate the identity information you provide when registering for the service

You will be unable to create an Keyolhu application account if you do not consent to provide or share your personal information.

• Contact Information: Name (Vessel Owner, Operator, Skipper and Crew), Email Address, Mobile Number
• National ID number
• Vessel Information
• “Keyolhu” username (user account after the registration)
• Information regarding your location
• eFass user information

• To manage your account as a registered user of the service
• To contact you by email, mobile calls, SMS or to communicate via online token services.
• To attend to and manage your requests regarding the service.
• Compile reports in order to improve our systems and services.

• We may use "cookies" and similar tracking technologies to enhance the user experience on our service.
• Certain information may be collected automatically. This includes information such as your browser type and language, IP address and mobile device ID, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

• We may use and disclose your personal information for the purpose of verifying, validating, or authenticating your identity and ensure the operation of the registration service.
• To respond to legal requests in certain circumstances.

However, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is never completely secure hence the security of your personal information transmitted through this application cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

The Ministry of Fisheries, and Ocean Resources (we) reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time. If any amendments are brought to the policy, we will post the updates on this page with a notice that the Privacy Policy has been updated and will publish the associated "updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Your continued use of any portion of the App following posting of the updated Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the changes.

You may send complaints regarding our handling of personal data in the following ways:

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Maldives. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Maldives in any dispute relating to this policy.
